Defrosting & Cutting Your Ice Cream Cake
Follow these steps for the best experience with your ice cream cake.
Defrosting Instructions
- 1Remove the cake from the freezer 10–15 minutes before serving.
- 2Place the cake on the counter at room temperature. Do not microwave.
- 3The cake is ready when the outer layer feels slightly soft to the touch.
- 4Return any leftover cake to the freezer promptly. Keeps for up to 2 weeks.
Cutting Instructions
- 1Use a sharp, thin-bladed knife for clean slices.
- 2Dip the knife in warm water and wipe dry between each cut for smooth, even slices.
- 3Cut with a gentle sawing motion — avoid pressing straight down, which can crack the cake.
- 4Serve slices immediately after cutting for the best texture and flavor.
